Charles Chute
Charles reignited his passion for drawing and painting during the first lockdown. It started by leaving cartoon doodles on his eldest son’s whiteboard easel for him to discover every morning. Following some “gentle” persuasion he set up an Instagram account before moving into painting using watercolour, acrylic and gouache (for the first time since his A-level Art!). It wasn’t long before he started receiving his first commissions and the rest as they say is history! Charles is hugely excited to be part of the Honeysuckle and Rose journey and is particularly interested in house portraits, nature and pets and children’s art. Charles lives in Hampshire with his wife, two boys and a mischievous Labrador aptly named Pickle. When not painting he enjoys running, various countryside pursuits and is an avid supporter of Southampton FC!
Kate Dawson
Born in Kenilworth, Warwickshire in 1967 Kate has been living in the French Alps since 1998. Her journey between the two has been as varied as the relief of the landscape that she crossed to be there…
Passionate about the art of drawing since childhood, a BA Degree in Art & Design, before following other adventures, from sea to mountains, travelling, long-distance sailing, mountain running, two children, and a crayon always to hand… Kate tries to capture the essence of nature, its spirit, soul, the sensuality of its colours reflected by the light and hidden in the shadows, textures, shapes and curves: nature’s beauty.
